Here is some of my work as the LSU Career Center in-house designer.
During my time as the in-house graphic designer for the LSU Career Center, I got to combine creativity with purpose; helping students navigate their career journeys through engaging and accessible design. Whether it was social media graphics, event branding, or promotional materials, I made sure our messaging was clear, eye-catching, and true to LSU’s brand. Working closely with career counselors, student staff, and the marketing team, I learned how to design with both strategy and heart, creating materials that not only looked great but also made a real impact on students' success. Below are some of my favorite projects and my design process for you.
LSU Career Center Custom Stickers
To help the LSU Career Center connect with students in a creative, approachable way, I designed a set of hand-drawn stickers inspired by Louisiana culture and campus life. I began by sketching visuals like crawfish, magnolias, and career-themed icons in Procreate, capturing the local vibe and student spirit.
After completing the illustrations, I brought them into InDesign to refine the layout and add color, ensuring everything aligned with LSU’s brand guidelines. The final stickers were printed as die-cuts and used in campus events, career fairs, and student giveaways.
These stickers did more than add personality to our materials. They made career resources feel more local, engaging, and student-focused.
Career Expo Map
This project proposed an interesting problem. After multiple semesters of career fairs, the Career Center frequently received complaints that the map for our event was not accessible for everyone because of the colors used in the original design.
I reimagined this map by including graphic elements which would provide visual aid for people with color blindness and other disabilities.
While creating this map, I worked with other students and coworkers who have color blindness to help me develop a solution. The original map was very content heavy so my solution could not take up to much space or need to remove existing content.
2024 New Year Card
This was a design that I organized for our director, Jessica Downs, who send a new years email to all of our sponsors and other connections on campus. Everyone at the Career Center was so excited to see Jayden Daniels win the heisman so I was tasked to include him! This was a fun project where I would flex my video editing fingers!
Resume & Interview Student Guide Book
When creating the LSU Resume & Interview Guidebook, my goal was to design a resource that felt both approachable and empowering. I wanted students to feel confident navigating two of the most intimidating parts of the job search process, so I focused on clarity, structure, and accessibility.
My design process began with content collaboration. I worked closely with the LSU Olinde Career Center team to understand what students ask most and where they tend to get stuck. From there, I developed a clean, easy-to-follow layout that guides the reader step by step, from building a standout resume to preparing for behavioral interview questions.
I used LSU’s brand colors and fonts to ensure visual consistency, while adding custom icons and visual cues to break up text and highlight tips. Throughout, I prioritized white space, intuitive section breaks, and actionable checklists so students can quickly find what they need, even when they're cramming before an interview.
This guidebook isn’t just a design project. It’s a tool built to support LSU students at every stage of their career journey.
